"Lost and Found"
We did a documentary film on Glenn Covington. He had been in foster care since he was a little kid and had to overcome much adversity throughout his life. He’s now in a stable home and officially been adopted. With the film we wanted to make people aware of the foster care issue itself, but also draw a connection with the viewer and give them perspective in their life. We hope his story has made an impact on our community and make people more aware of the issue by telling it through the eyes of Glenn. We did this film firstly because of Glenn. Once we heard about his story we knew this was exactly what we wanted to do. We hoped with doing this it would touch other people like it did us and put perspective in our community. We also did it because after doing research on foster care itself we realized how much of an on going issue it is. There are many children out there without homes and no stable place they can call home. It’s the adults in our society that can make an impact and we hope they made a connection with Glenn and were inspired to help. We made this film using a Canon Rebel T3i. We did all the editing in iMovie. Most of the film consisted of B-Roll. On the shots of Glenn we used the rule of thirds to go by. We have one picture in the film that we took. We edited it in Photoshop creating two layers of the photo then desaturation on the top photo. Then using the eraser tool to erase the main focus of the photo, which was Glenn so he would stand out. Making it the only part of the picture in color.

"Drew Mason: A Tribute and Warning"
Our project was about Andie's brother who was killed in a drunk driving accident. When we started this project, we contacted her family members to get some interviews. Throughout the process, we got b-roll of emergency vehicles from here in Georgetown, Ky. Once we got the scripts written and all the footage together, we imported it into Final Cut Pro, we used a series of transitions and different tools to make our project unique and so it would impact the audience through editing.
